A range of anti-bacterial and anti-static hosiery socks. BOVASOX are made of 72% cotton/ PA blend, and treated using Ruco-Bac-AGP Silver based anti-microbial technology. Nano-particles of silver chloride - the same compound which is applied to the latest wound dressings - is anti-bacterial non-allergenic, harmless to natural skin flora, and environmentally friendly.
The main purpose of anti-bacterial socks, is to eliminate bacteria, which multiply in the presence of dirt. moisture and heat, which cause infections of the foot. body odour, and allergies.
It is interesting to note that the average person loses up to 250ml of water a day from their feet. in the form of perspiration. BOVASOX anti-bacterial socks being largely constructed of
cotton, which is hydrophilic, and will conduct moisture away from the body. BOVASOX anti-bacterial and anti-static socks can be washed or dry-cleaned with no adverse effect on this protective compound. Optimal cleanliness, freshness, and comfort to the wearer can
therefore be maintained. |
It has been proved that wearing safety footwear without suitable antibacterial socks such as BOVASOX, can lead to severe foot irritation and discomfort.
Also incorporated into our BOVASOX are specially developed anti-static rings, made of cotton thread coated with pure silver. At Beier, we believe that the effectiveness of anti-static footwear is compromised if the hosiery socks do not also conform to acceptable anti-static requirements.
For this purpose we use Anti-Static, an innovative fibre that has a layer of Silver permanently bonded to it. Anti-Static fibre is strategically placed in our BOVASOX under the ball of the foot. in order to conduct static electricity away from the body, through the sock to the shoe.
Anti-Static is not a surface treatment. The silver is irreversibly bound to a polymer so that it becomes a physical part of the fibre. It is permanent and its efficacy does not diminish over time. |

Developed in Canada, Ultra-Fresh DM-25-WP anti-microbial technology as used in our anti-bacterial socks, has a high "kill rate" on fungal organisms as well as bacteria.
The process utilises a strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal resin. which is particularly suited to the treatment of footwear components where the number of washes is minimal or the component not washed at all. |
